Overview
Urban Russia was a three-episode AR series about Moscow, St Petersburg and Yekaterinburg, made with MTS. Street art was the way into each city: you listened your way in, watched a documentary portrait, then stepped through an AR portal into a gallery of animated murals, poetry and a live hip-hop performance.
My Role
Showrunner and executive producer. I wrote the format — what happens in an episode, in what order, and where audio hands over to AR — and ran the production through to delivery. Showrunning here meant format and production leadership, not head writing.

Format
Every episode ran the same seven beats: audio introduction, documentary portrait of the city, AR portal, spatial gallery of digitised street art, poetry and music, an AR performance by a local artist, and the virtual space dissolving. Same grammar each time, so a new city only needed new material.

Result
Three episodes shipped: Moscow in November 2021, St Petersburg and Yekaterinburg in August 2022. The format held across three cities without being rebuilt.
