Overview

Across Technology to Art was an AR experience about the restoration of Van Gogh's The Red Vineyards in Arles, made with the Pushkin Museum. It ran in five movements: the landscape at Arles, Van Gogh's letters, the canvas up close, what conservation found under the paint, and back to the museum.

My Role

Executive Producer. I held the client relationship, led the working team, oversaw development and managed the contractors. The creative, technical and institutional credits sat with the partner teams.

Approach

Museum research, a brand campaign and an AR build each had their own approval path — the museum's, LG's and the production's. The work was keeping specialist conservation material intact while it became something a visitor could actually walk through.

Result

Best Campaign at the Auggie Awards 2022. Specialist conservation research reached an audience that would never have come to the museum for it.
